Dr. Mahar joined the practice in August 2008. Dr. Mahar has always had an interest in mixed animal practice with a focus on production (specifically dairy) and small animal medicine.

Dr. Julie Eberly cannot remember not wanting to be a veterinarian and loved spending time on her grandparents’ farms with the cows, pigs, sheep, ponies, bunnies, geese, and chickens as well as dogs and cats. She graduated from Albion College with a BA in Biology in 1989 and from MSU’s Veterinary College in 1993. For the first 13 years she worked with both large and small animals before scaling back to just small animals as her children grew up. She spends her spare time gardening, reading, swimming and paddle boarding. She lives with her husband, 2 dogs, 4 cats and a 110 gallon aquarium.

When she isn’t at work or home, she will most likely be found on her family beef cattle farm where she has 8 barn cats, chickens, and a goat named Francis.

Cindi looks forward to meeting with clients and helping care for their pets. In her spare time she enjoys native gardening, beekeeping, volunteering, and long walks on the beach. She lives in Pier Cove with her husband and son.

Makenzie graduated from Baker College of Muskegon in May of 2023 with an Associate’s Degree of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. Makenzie did a Job Shadow with us as a High School student in the summer before she attended Vet Tech school. She came back to us as a Licensed Tech and is eager to learn the ropes of Animal Medicine. She has a special interest in Large Animal Medicine and eventually plans to move out West to perform Veterinary Medicine, cowgirl style. In her spare time, she enjoys riding her Quarter Horse, Gizmo, sitting around a campfire with some good friends, and spending time in a hammock with her nose in a book.

After many years as a client, Kathie joined the Mac's Landing Team in March, 2015. Kathie worked at Prince Corporation until 2008. She enjoys meeting new people and loves working with the animals. Kathie and her husband Gary live in Fennville, cockatiel Peachie, and Rottweiler Storm.
